Brian Mbuya

As an analyst for investment and impact advisory at Samawati Capital Partners, Brian supports investment activities across deal origination, screening, structuring, and execution.

Before joining Samawati, Brian worked in equity research, private equity, venture capital, and advisory at AIB AXYS (previously AIB Capital), Bamboo Capital, Aavishkaar Capital, and Maitri Capital. He also volunteered with the nonprofit  Shaper Impact Capital, where he worked in financial modelling and valuation and investment analysis and management.

Brian holds a BS in finance from The Cooperative University of Kenya. He represented his school during the 2017/2018 CFA East Africa research challenge and is an active mentor to students and graduates in the same field.
