Eugene joined Samawati Capital Partners in 2021 as the lead transaction advisor for a USAID-funded agro-industrial development project in Busia, Uganda and later spearheaded the set-up of our office in Kampala in 2022. He has more than 17 years of experience in investment and asset management gained working across three continents with organizations such as Bank of America, ING, PineBridge Investments, aBi Trust (Uganda), National Social Security Fund (NSSF), and Agriculture Finance Consultants (AFC).
Eugene’s focus for nearly a decade has been private sector development, investment advisory, and impact investing, including particular experience in initiatives related to biodiversity conservation and climate finance within Sub-Saharan Africa.
Eugene holds a BA in economics from Makerere University and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management in California, US.
